Concious Sedation Dentistry

Ever since I was about 9 I have had what some people would call an unrational fear of going to the dentist. It all began when in the space of about a year I had to have a tooth yanked out of head and filling in one of my front teeth. The filling hurt so bad that some just has to say the world filling and I get a shiver right down my spine. But it is not just the fear of pain that scares me off, it the whole experience. The waiting room with its magazines about art and interior decorating and the annoying prattle that goes on between dentist and nurse as they prise open your mouth and scrape at your teeth.
But there is a new style of dentistry that caters for the scaredy cats such as my self. It is designed to help us relax as soon as we walk in to the surgery, it is called Concious Sedation Dentistry . In this new form of going to the torture chair the whole experience is about keeping you calm, from the decoration in the reception to the way things are explained to you. Then when it finally comes to getting in that chair you are put in to a relaxed state where unlike anesthetic you are still able to keep your own air way open and respond to verbal comands.
Dr Feldsott is a Rochester Dentist who specialises in this form of dentistry, and his patiants all love the approach.
IIt sounds good, like a dentist that actually cares about how his patiants feel and that can only be a good thing.
